Messlure
...is a post-hardcore band from Norfolk County, Ontario, started in December 2022 but playing shows since the summer of 2024. They (we) don't know how to describe ourselves, as they noticed that no bands do, really. Hailing from somewhere with no scene they assumed that bands always recorded music first and shopped a demo around to venues to let them play. Thankfully all of that horrible music from that era is still on streaming. But since, they've been enamoured with the possibilities of live music and are even more enamoured with the recordings that successfully transfer that live energy to tape. They are downright annoying in their particularity for bands they like. That's a lot more useful, probably, for diagnosing their sound. So here goes: Shellac, Drive Like Jehu, Rockets Red Glare/Blake, Unwound, Taxidermists, etc. They just released their EP Messlure Radio, which is found by clicking the Spotify or Bandcamp links to your left. They are currently working on their magnum opus, Moonwasp.
